The Truth

What is the truth,


but a bunch of lies?

Can you hear it when I speak

or see it in my eyes?

Whose truth is it anyway,

Is it theirs or mine?

You can search forever,

But forever you'll be blind.

You only see what you want, Believe what you want. Because you care not, What the truth may mean. Your eyes may open, and things will not be as they seem.

So you close them tight and cover your ears. You refuse to hear my pain. You refuse to see my tears.

So, I keep moving on. Pretending to be strong. Loving only those who love me. Forgetting the pain. Letting it be. One day. Eventually. You will see.

There is no truth. Only lies, in disguise. Waiting to be free.

Soon baby , really soon.
Everything dark will be light.
Everything wrong will be right.

Just keep holding on,
And keep being strong,
Never fear for tommorrow.

For it's just another day away,
From the price that we pay.
For the mistakes I have made.

Because baby I'm not perfect.
But I never meant to hurt you.
I never meant to lose you.

Never thought they'd take you.
And then try to break you.

The day we both have wished for,

When we talked to God at night.

Judgement will come on those who judge others,
The Bible does foretell.
Judgement will come on those who judge mothers.
And justice will prevail.

So, until the truth is known.
And someone hears your voice.
And someone finally understands.
That you should have a choice.

We'll just keep wishing and praying.
And our faith will lead the way.
And guide us through our sorrows.
And help us through another day.
